Default Looking towards Manchester

From the observation tower at the Imperial War Museum of the North - yes, the tower was actually open today!

Central Manchester is in the distance.

Steve -

Exquisite for all the normal reasons of your B&Ws, but in this one your usual richness of tones is even better.

Thanks guys.

The conversion was done using the Alien Skin Exposure plug-in. In this case I selected just the red channel in order to add some contrast to the aky.

Thanks Keith, that's what I was thinking. I like the look that the red channel has given to the sky, but I'm less sure that it's worked well with the tall building next to the bridge.

Steve, very cool shot. It wipes away my impression of Manchester as a more brick & mortar city.
