There's a huge 19 century cemetery in Birkenhead on the Wirral - though I bet most of the Wirral wishes Birkenhead was somewhere else - a fascinating place, and somewhere to return to when the light is a little less harsh. There were people out in T-shirts today, incredible for February.

This looks like one of those "street artists" who make themselves up to look like statues; and then move. Chapeau to the stone carver and also to the seeing eye "what took this shot".
![]() I'm convinced that the true Capital of Culture is actually "over the water" from the Capital of Scallys; their park was the model for NY's Central Park, for example. The Birkenhead Docks area could fill our new Industry forum for quite a long time. Good shot Steve.
