There's a huge 19 century cemetery in Birkenhead on the Wirral - though I bet most of the Wirral wishes Birkenhead was somewhere else - a fascinating place, and somewhere to return to when the light is a little less harsh. There were people out in T-shirts today, incredible for February.

This looks like one of those "street artists" who make themselves up to look like statues; and then move. Chapeau to the stone carver and also to the seeing eye "what took this shot".

I'm convinced that the true Capital of Culture is actually "over the water" from the Capital of Scallys; their park was the model for NY's Central Park, for example. The Birkenhead Docks area could fill our new Industry forum for quite a long time.
