In Palmwag, Damaraland, Namibia, where we tracked black rhino on foot, this photo shows the road ahead when we set out to go to the next camp. More photos from that part of the trip are on the 3rd and 4th Namibia photo gallery pages of our site.

I'm somewhat pained to find that The Shorter O*ford (that other place who's name we do not speak) Dictionary has reversed the order of the alternative meanings of the word; now at #1 "a temporary decline in economic activity or prosperity" and at #2 "a receding or withdrawal from a place or point". In more well-mannered times there would have been no mention of monetary matter. Thank-you Mrs Thatcher. ![]()
