Default Citiscape while crossing bridge

Taken with Panasonic TZ3 while driving across bridge. No, I was not the driver. When a point and shoot can do this well, why have I bought so many other very expensive cameras!?

Very good, and as you say, sometimes P&S can really surprise you. Looking back over my archive of shots from the last two years, I'm surprised at how many are from my D-LUX 2 and DMC-FX01 as well as my more sophisticated rangefinders and SLRs.

Well seen - you should try to take more like this.

Because you are a photography nut just like the rest of us. Well captured including the camera.

Default AW: Citiscape while crossing bridge

The lens in the rearview mirror gives an additional nice touch to an already well composed image (especially since there was obviously no time for composition).

Caryl -

As said above, you are a photographer, and in your case, you have a great deal of experience and training in composition. Being around your marvelous husband's painting(s) must help with your eye as well. You still need the high-priced spread for those situations that call for better control. I know that sometimes my go-anwhere PanaLeica is just not quite up to what I ask of it.

BTW: Try adjusting curves on this terrific play of straight and arced lines. I think the image needs some punching up.
