I have no access to people's emails or PMs, but ever since you and Jack launched your for sale site in competition with Andreas I've seen you as a couple.

This forum has just about as few rules as I've ever come across, most people seem able to stick to those few rules.

Jack has nothing to do with that site , look who does and you have again no idea what your even talking about. GET FACTS

You are guessing at everything and if you want to bring up Leica market it was out WAY before the Buy and Sell here and I knew NOTHING about it . Andreas and I already talked about this a whole bunch and we are perfectly fine and i don't even run that site so get off your high freaking horse and get some real facts.

Just when I was going to advertise here and make Andreas money, you go open your mouth with bull shit. Get REAL Steve

I'm done, and that is not good for the LUF. So there you happy

I apologise to Jack. You appear to have set up the site with Eduardo Albesi, and it was registered on the 15th of May this year.

Uh, I have read back all my posts in this thread and I don't see where I once even mentioned it was moved, let alone complained about it? We were all talking about images. Now you go and pollute that with what sounds like some personal bone you have to chew on with Guy AND bring me into it? I'd suggest you leave me out of your personal matters, take them offline with Guy and let the rest of us get on with discussing images...

Good day,

I don't even know WTF you're talking about re a FS forum? But that half of your apology is accepted...

This is the kind of crap that kills good threads... Hopefully folks can get back to talking about the images.

I'm surprised Guy never mentioned it.

Yea there is the usual whinge about the moving of a thread from m8 to the photo forum and then the mob go all out to be technical.................... ( ahh nothing new aaaiii!!

................ on another note as I find these images quite disapointing, most seem to have gone beserk with using a technique and produced results that flatten the images as well as washing out the colours.
"New/rediscovered toys" should not be overplayed as they are here...this is a great old technique but should be used sparingly...be subtle boys

.....the buy and sell one, wasn't that a fiasco.. a oldie but a goodie ..........buy and sell seems to be working just fine here

The Leica M8 Forum is dedicated to everything around the Leica M8.

The Leica Photo Forum shows images from Leica photographers from all over the world. Only images made with Leica equipment are allowed.

I would, respectfully, suggest that anyone who has a problem with these forum rules should ship out. Self-promotionalists and "look at me" windbags have no place here either.

Cheers,
Jack,
Actually I think that it might be a monitor thing. What I posted is Joe Holms Prophoto +20 converted to sRGB since I thought that it could use a touch more saturation.
I hope to sort things out a bt more once I get home to my "usual" monitor.
Oh, one other thing that may be making this shot look a bit flat is that it was taken with a 135/3.4 that Guy let me try.
Looking at it on my MBP it looks very punchy and the histo has pretty good spread. It was one of the only images that required a jpg quality 6 conversion to make a file size that would fit into forum guidelines. I could get a bit more apparent snap by clipping some more of the blacks.
thanks

That much jpeg compression might explain it --- JHPp +20 is certainly not weak (and just as certainly not overkill). I'd be curious to hear your thoughts when get back to your desktop monitor and view it as compared to on your MBP.

Cheers,
