williamgm Posted February 18, 2015 Share #11 Posted February 18, 2015 Andy, nice photograph. Is that on the edge of the Peak District, looking towards Shutlingsloe? Regards, Geoff
andybarton Posted February 18, 2015 Author Share #12 Posted February 18, 2015 That's the place. It's from the lower road from the Cat & Fiddle to Macc.
williamgm Posted February 18, 2015 Share #13 Posted February 18, 2015 I know the place well (as I currently live between Buxton & Bakewell); I've been past the spot twice in the recent snowy weather, on both occasions the sheep were nicely placed & the light good, but no camera (I know, inexcusable!). I'm glad you're enjoying your new M240; having been introduced to Leica via my current Digilux 2, I'm now considering an M, either M8 or M9, but even then the budget required (when you include a lens or two) is considerable. lincoln_m Posted February 22, 2015 Share #16 Posted February 22, 2015 Andy, Lovely image, i'm jealous. Hills & snow too. I'm surprised the 50 summicron didn't flare, looking into the low sun in that way? But we didn't see the other shots which might have had veiling glare that you didn't select? One advantage of being able to review on the spot I suppose ? Did you also snap a B&W with your M2? Thanks for sharing. Lincoln
