Hong Hong - living ( non)estates

This is a series showing samples of living areas where we strolled to explore the city. We did not see any other Europeans there. The city is under permanent construction and old ramshackle buildings are certainly to be replaced by another sort of stapled housing. The question is whether there will be ever enough room affordable for normal wages.

A fascinating visual comment on the situation there. Looks worthy of much more intense (time taking) probing with a camera.

The second image appears to have been over corrected for converging verticals. IMO, angles such as that one work better by leaving a slight convergence to the 'away' direction.

Lars,

thanks for stopping by. Yes, there is a permanent status quo, but still the residents there feel the change as we as visitors probably do not.

Erl,

thanks for your support. Yes. you are right aout the second image. I tried to work on the lines but take your hint to reprocess. Sometimes the forum size is a problem and here I also sharpened before downsizing it. I think it is not necessary then. Time factor is always relevant because one has a schedule for a day to cover other destinations. I will certainly revisit the place over the next year.
