pauledell Posted December 28, 2014 Share #2 Posted December 28, 2014 Dee, I am curious. Are these wind generators becoming a major source of electricity for your area? Paul
platypus Posted December 28, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted December 28, 2014 Paul, when the turbines are all hooked up and producing the electricity will go into the national grid and be distributed where it's needed. Just guessing....but I'd imagine a lot of it would be directed to Canberra as our nearest (relatively) large population centre.
Iduna Posted December 29, 2014 Share #4 Posted December 29, 2014 Dee, interesting this new kind of forest at your area. As far as I know there is still the problem of storage of electricity so that is presumably goes into the grid immediately.

gbealnz Posted December 31, 2014 Share #8 Posted December 31, 2014 I firmly believe we need more of them in the "Eastern Island". Most of the time the detractors cite "noise", and the "spoiling of the view" as the main reasons for not having them. I say "stuff it then, is a nuclear reactor any quieter or better looking"? Most simply complain with little thought for the positives. Gimme wind any day. (and solar for that matter). Sorry Platy, didn't mean to hijack your thread, and I do like your picture.
