the scale of things.

Boco Rock Windfarm turbines and a relatively minuscule roadside sign, in misty rain on Christmas eve.

It's taking some time to become accustomed to these huge new additions to our otherwise remote landscape,

in the right weather and with the right sky they are wonderfully dramatic, but still surprising to see.

Dee, I love the way you did convey the scale of these giants.

It is true that they seem intrusive. We have "farms" in certain areas of California. But, in the grand scheme of things there is really no obvious way to produce clean/renewable energy, something that we all voraciously need and consume in ever-growing amounts.

Something's gotta give...

Hi Ece! Thanks for the comment, you are so right; we must move with the times.

Truth be told I love these things, I find them utterly beautiful and quite magic

in their hugeness and perfection of form. It has just been such an odd experience

to have them appear so suddenly, just a matter of about six months for 162 turbines

to be installed and working. They are still (as I said) a surprise to see, and a novelty.

This allocation is only phase one of the development, there will be altogether over

three hundred.....oh! the photo opportunities!!
