Default Jewish Museum, Berlin

We were profoundly moved by the Jewish Museum. We were fortunate not to have to wait too long for entry. I must confess that we found the axes, the holocaust tower and the voids to be significantly more poignant and touching than the actual museum exhibits themselves. All shots Leica MP, 50 'cron on 400CN.

The museum in Cape Town is equally thought provoking but photography is forbidden unfortunately. This is the outside.

Great series, Gordon.

I especially like numbers 1 and 3.

What is that on the floor of the hall?

Andy - They look like empty film spools. Strange.

That's what I thought. "Health & Safety" would never allow that over here...

I have just been playing with your SA shot above and (IMHO), a small levels tweak works wonders

Thanks all.

It is indeed an art installation. The things that look like film reels are actually made from cast iron and they make quite noise as people walk on them.
