An hour before the tops of the mountains were under cloud but we were lucky and it began to lift and break up. However it meant that there were large patches of shadow and other areas that were brightly lit.

The patch of sunlight on the side of the mountain attracted my attention and even though there was a lot of shadow it worked out better than I expected.

Howard , for sure tricky light conditions on such weather on the mountains. However, I like the lake vista in the horizon, under the clouds.
