Not surprising in Bangkok. Make sure you have the address written down and the area you are trying to get to. Even then the drivers has to stop and ask for directions.:confused:

What a story. Was the cabbie clock running while he was asking for directions? Next time she ought to try the boys that haul people around in the bicycle trailers.

Paul, the problem with most taxi drivers unless you are asking to be taken to a tourist trap, they have a difficult time finding a home address which we were in this case.

Interesting story and shots. In India, if you ask for directions, you may be given totally wrong directions with utter confidence (as I experienced in Delhi) or, they can be very precise and correct instructions and very likely the person will walk with you a short way to show you how to get there (as I found in Bombay).
