ravinj Posted August 26, 2013 Share #2 Posted August 26, 2013 Lovely Bill. Looks like a view from the Highline Trail but I could be wrong as there are similar vistas from other vantage points as well. - R.
Joachim123 Posted August 26, 2013 Share #3 Posted August 26, 2013 Fantastic!!! I have always wanted to visit Montana however, its remoteness makes car rental and accommodations expensive. I could fly into Spokane WA and go from there. I would like to see the Bitterroot Valley. A beautiful state.

platypus Posted August 26, 2013 Share #5 Posted August 26, 2013 Bill, This is a sublime landscape and a beautiful photo. Can't imagine why...but I have always pictured Montana as high plains country.... so I've come to the forum to be educated in geography! Thanks! Northwest Wanderer Posted August 26, 2013 Author Share #9 Posted August 26, 2013 Thanks everyone. Glad to see this image has been enjoyed. I took the image from a viewpoint along the "Going To The Sun Road" in Glacier National Park". Dee, Montana is a large and diverse state. The topography ranges from flat wide open and treeless to high mountains with glaciers.
