bideford Posted August 21, 2013 Share #1 Posted August 21, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) View across the causeway at Worm's Head at Rhossili, Wales: The causeway is only exposed for two and a half hours before and after low tide. Dylan Thomas wrote about being trapped on the head after falling asleep and missing the tide. Signs warn of the danger and people have drowned in the strong currents after attempting to cross back over two late. Mixalis Posted August 22, 2013 Share #7 Posted August 22, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Love the composition with the anchor in the foreground and the dramatic turbulent cloudscape. What exposure was this to allow such an impression of movement in the clouds?
bideford Posted August 22, 2013 Author Share #8 Posted August 22, 2013 Love the composition with the anchor in the foreground and the dramatic turbulent cloudscape. What exposure was this to allow such an impression of movement in the clouds? Hi Mixalis - used a fast exposure (1/750) and exif data shows f/8 (which is approximate, of course) Took the shot hand held - so nothing special - no wind either. Just an interesting cloud formation I guess!

250swb Posted August 24, 2013 Share #14 Posted August 24, 2013 Its all there, a nice photograph, but I would have preferred to see a bit more contrast in the foreground, so it wasn't so muddy. But that is just an idea.
Karl G Posted August 24, 2013 Share #15 Posted August 24, 2013 Lovely area and the classic anchor really sets the tone.
