Paul, I love wooden covered bridges. Very nice to see more of them and I can almost never resist stopping and walking around and through them. My favorite is the side view. Thanks for sharing.

Moosehead, The bridge was not protected from a fool semi truck driver who wrecked it

Bill, Yes the clearance was clearly marked, But the truck driver didn't pay attention.

Sando, Thanks. These types of bridges are supported by wooden trusses and are covered to protect the wood from the rain and weather.

A sidelight is that the truck driver was following the instructions from his GPS and didn't bother to pay attention. He is still in jail the last I heard.

Fortunately, the bridge is going to be repaired as soon as they get all the wood formed. I hope they repair it to the way it originally was.
