Bill Allsopp Posted May 11, 2013 Share #1 Posted May 11, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Some of you may remember the colour version, if so apologies for boring you. I have finally done a mono version for inclusion in an article I am writing; I think I prefer it in mono. Welcome, dear visitor! pauledell Posted May 11, 2013 Share #4 Posted May 11, 2013 Bill, Stunning and dynamic with the framing, tones and clarity. I would say the b&w would be better than color. Paul

Karl G Posted May 11, 2013 Share #6 Posted May 11, 2013 Beautiful in either version but I mostly "see" color images from shooting in color for so long and my preference was accordingly for the spectacular original.
Northwest Wanderer Posted May 11, 2013 Share #7 Posted May 11, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) Bill, This is a hard call. The color version was beautiful. The b&w version has more of a powerful look. How in the world can I decide which is nicer, they're both great.

Pintpot Posted May 13, 2013 Share #15 Posted May 13, 2013 Bill - superb, very AA, the B&W processing is first class Have you thought about cropping out the foreground fence? I think it will make the image stornger.

I think it will make the image stornger. Thanks for your very kind comments Tony. I have agonised over the fence and were I entering it in a competition I think it would be marked down for the distraction, so I would crop it, but I like it for the depth and scale it adds.
