platypus Posted May 4, 2013 Share #1 Posted May 4, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) In the Snowy Mountains of Australia we are enjoying the most colourful autumn for some years. Not anticipating this event I had sent the M9 away in early April for a sensor clean. Hopefully awaiting it's prompt return last week I received a call informing me of the existence an unremovable bit of glop on the sensor. The good news is that Leica will replace the sensor at no charge. The bad news is that there is an unspecified delay for delivery of new sensors. So here is the MM's version of the colours of the season! Welcome, dear visitor! Karl G Posted May 4, 2013 Share #2 Posted May 4, 2013 Lovely picture but B&W I'm sure wasn't what you were "seeing" in this scene. Sorry about the delay in your M9 and the sensor swap must take some of the sting out.
k-hawinkler Posted May 4, 2013 Share #3 Posted May 4, 2013 Dee, Too bad it takes that long to get your M9 back. A wonderful MM image! Are there trout other fish one can catch in that stream?
pauledell Posted May 4, 2013 Share #4 Posted May 4, 2013 Dee, A superb b&w shot with the composition, the lovely tones, great sharpness and of course, the sunlight gleefully dancing on the water. I, too, hope your M9 will not be delayed much longer. Paul
platypus Posted May 4, 2013 Author Share #5 Posted May 4, 2013 Hi guys, Thanks for your comments. Yes, Karl it sure does take the sting out of it. I am so impressed with Leica, they just offered to do that. K-h, this is the river that runs through the farm in the valley where I live. It's a renowned trout stream but so isolated that it is only infrequently fished. Also famous for Platypus! Paul, glad you liked the 'moving' water. The orange filter is currently stuck on the Nocti so I couldn't use an ND filter! Dee.
