I have only had the X2 for a few days, after becoming familiar with and understanding its peculiarities, I have ( as many others ) come to the conclusion that the Leica X2 is an very capable small camera with the same or better capabilities as many large cameras.

I find the camera a pleasure to work with and its small size allows me to have it with me most of the time ( the best camera happens to be the one you have with you).

following is a series of images that I shot this morning walking my dogs on their twice daily walk in the Kimberley Nature Park that adjoins our property immediately.

The Kimberley Nature Park "Gateway to Nature"

These images were shot as DNG+super fine , the DNG images were processed in LR4 and converted to jpegs for this forum.

I hope that these are not too many or too boring

A delightful series of fine pictures. Great composition, colors, sharpness and those wonderful dogs. They sure enjoy the snow. If you haven't been told already, welcome to the forum and we will be looking for more from you.

Great series! Why do dogs love rolling in the snow?

Jim

Thanks for all your kind replies,

Jim , I don't know why dogs like snow surfing so much , my labs slide all the way down

the steep snow covered path on their backs, like little kids on a slide.

Apparently some dogs (more the cold weather dogs ) love it , others don't like it at all.

Thanks again for all the kind comments,

Stuart, yes, spacing the images would have shown better, I am somewhat new to posting images and was just happy to get them displayed, next time though...

Bill , yes , the X2 is a enjoyable camera with great image quality, I have had the X2 for 2 weeks now , I was on the list for a Fuji X100s, (had the X100 and sold it ) however, looking at many images of the X2, I realized that this was probably the better choice for me , it cost me considerably more than the X100s

(approx. $700) and it gave me headaches thinking about the 2 choices, and I am still not entirely sure.

So far I have not seen many outstanding images from the X100s, I have seen many outstanding images from the X2, I do like the X2 for its simplicity and quality so I probably made the right choice for me.
