Advertisement Posted February 17, 2013 Posted February 17, 2013 Hi Pintpot, Take a look here Salford Quays Cranes. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pauledell Posted February 17, 2013 Share #2 Posted February 17, 2013 Tony, The first shot has great composition, crisp sharpness and beautiful toning. The cranes look like old veteran soldiers waiting for their muster standing so proudly against the sky. Paul
pragmatist Posted February 17, 2013 Share #3 Posted February 17, 2013 Lovely tones and sharpness, good shots indeed.
Northwest Wanderer Posted February 18, 2013 Share #4 Posted February 18, 2013 They may be demolished but you'll have them forever in your photos. Nice sharp images.
jpattison Posted February 18, 2013 Share #5 Posted February 18, 2013 I love the tone you've achieved, and such great images! John
Pintpot Posted February 19, 2013 Author Share #6 Posted February 19, 2013 Paul, Prag. Bill & John Thanks for your comments. I've now got the loan of a red filter (cheers John for that) and will see what effect that has on the M8 B&W shots, and will post any interesting ones It is a pity about the cranes, but a repair and make good cost would be £1m. However ther's an ongoing campaign to save them. Regards
wda Posted February 19, 2013 Share #7 Posted February 19, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) You demonstrate so well in your pictures the value of a 'thinking' photographer. I like the composition and angles and would like to hear them tell me their story!
