maxpachernigg Posted February 10, 2013 Share #6 Posted February 10, 2013 Very nice photograph! I would try to rotate it slightly counter clockwise, just 2, or 3 degree perhaps. max
A miller Posted February 10, 2013 Author Share #7 Posted February 10, 2013 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) Excellent suggestion. How about this? I slightly widened the shot, as well. I think it works! Thanks for the tip! Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! maxpachernigg Posted February 10, 2013 Share #8 Posted February 10, 2013 Wow, looks nice that way too. I would turn it into the other direction to make the horizon perfectly streight.

larsv Posted February 10, 2013 Share #13 Posted February 10, 2013 Having lived in New York, I experienced the same feel when I returned to Amsterdam. Btw, the second is straight ;-) Amsterdam certainly has its charms.
A miller Posted February 11, 2013 Author Share #14 Posted February 11, 2013 Thanks very much, Larsv. I also thought the second photo was straight but I guess it depends on what we are trying to make straight, the mini pier or the horizon. To me, making the mini pier straight yields more pleasing symmetries. I can see how others might feel differently, however...
