Death Valley photographers

Most of Death Valley is gravel covered windswept plains or vast salt flats. However there are a few areas with sand dunes and lonely plants. I wanted to capture the plant life and found I was not the only one with that idea... M8+50mm Summilux M asph. Thank you for staying hydrated. Jim

Thank you both for the comments. Yes I was using the IR / UV cut filter. It was getting late in day and the light was warm - in more ways than just color... Jim

Jim, not unlike some of the landscape around my parts. It has a beauty of its own.

 

You have controlled the contrast of the lux very well.

One just has to take sufficient water. They say a person would need to carry close to 40 liters of water just to make it across the valley floor on foot. The early gold rush travelers didn't and couldn't even make it back to where they started from. Hence the name: Death Valley...
