leicamann Posted May 13, 2012 Share #2 Posted May 13, 2012 Very nice,, and nicely scanned and presented I might add..Andy have you been into all that talk about the PlusTek..did you get one or are you still using the Minolta? andybarton Posted May 13, 2012 Author Share #3 Posted May 13, 2012 John The Minolta died years ago, and I replaced it with a Nikon Coolscan V. This too has started to play up, so I might have to consider something else this year. The Plustek scanner which takes 120 film too might be interesting. Will have to see the price and output first though. Mind you, it's made of unobtanium, so might never see the light of day.
leicamann Posted May 13, 2012 Share #4 Posted May 13, 2012 Andy, my main film scanner is on the fritz, so I am considering...there are alot of The Nikon Coolscann 9000 's out there, and yes the Plustek..but Larry was saying that the prints from the Plustek are not very good. That leaves the other extreme, the Imacon, Flexlite at a whopping $9800.00..don't think so..so I think all us film goers need to start a thread on available scanners and options. Cheers, JRM
pauledell Posted May 14, 2012 Share #5 Posted May 14, 2012 Andy, Perfect composition, contrast, tones and clarity. This is worthy for a space on a wall. Paul
Iduna Posted May 14, 2012 Share #6 Posted May 14, 2012 Andy, it is an impressive shot. I always find it difficult to frame these type of pictures. You did good work.
