Rick Posted March 25, 2012 Share #3 Posted March 25, 2012 I see a problem with all of that detail. This is a problem with nice cameras like this. You have zoomed in some 400% or so and revealed that someone is in your picture wearing a red coat. Knowing that the original first picture has someone in a red coat just ruins it for me.
Rick Posted March 25, 2012 Share #4 Posted March 25, 2012 Of course, just amusing myself and kidding. Nice pastoral (lake) scene. I like the foreground to background relationship, it draws you into the picture. Nice. Now, about that red coat...
NZDavid Posted March 25, 2012 Share #5 Posted March 25, 2012 Zoom to 4000% and you could read the label. Nice peaceful looking pace for a relaxing stroll, and he greenery indicates spring may be on the way on the northern side.
stuny Posted March 26, 2012 Share #6 Posted March 26, 2012 Andy - Gorgeous. I didn't know you had an X1. BTW: Next time you're in town I'll take you for gelato that is as good as you can get in Sicily.

pauledell Posted March 26, 2012 Share #8 Posted March 26, 2012 Andy, The first panoramic shot is incredibly beautiful with the gorgeous colors, the composition and the clarity while the 100% crop indicate how good the X1 is and how well the picture holds up. pgk Posted March 27, 2012 Share #9 Posted March 27, 2012 Andy I have an ancient (~100years old I'd guess) postcard of Tarn Howes, probably hand tinted. The technology has changed but the place doesn't seem to have altered much beyond tree growth.
Bill Allsopp Posted March 27, 2012 Share #10 Posted March 27, 2012 Glad to see you are now getting to grips with the X1 and producing such good images.

Iduna Posted March 28, 2012 Share #13 Posted March 28, 2012 Andy, the pano is pulling you inside the landscape. Nice place. The X1 is really a miracle. The crop shows it very well. The nasty red spot can be photoshopped, then the crop also will be like a painting. Thanks for sharing.
andybarton Posted March 28, 2012 Author Share #14 Posted March 28, 2012 Nasty red spot?! That's just some fellow minding his own business in a nice jumper bought for him for Christmas by his Mum.
