larsv Posted March 25, 2012 Share #3 Posted March 25, 2012 Beautiful, though I would have cropped off the lower part.
pauledell Posted March 25, 2012 Share #4 Posted March 25, 2012 A beautiful shot as it is. Lovely colors, warm lighting, great composition and sharpness. Paul

mhanke Posted March 27, 2012 Share #6 Posted March 27, 2012 Beautiful, though I would have cropped off the lower part. I agree. The wodnerful colours and outlines are a bit compromised by the dominating, empty forground, IMHO. I would crop enough just to leave the beautiful curve of the foreground meadow. Bobitybob Posted March 27, 2012 Author Share #8 Posted March 27, 2012 (edited) Many thanks for your comments gents. I did consider a crop but in the end decided on going for the thirds approach ie. the bottom third being the dull lead into the brighter greener middle with the white spot of the sheep and then finally the vivid blue top which the line of the beck draws you to. Worked in my head anyway Cropped version added for good measure, hope you like it. Edited March 27, 2012 by Bobitybob
Iduna Posted March 27, 2012 Share #9 Posted March 27, 2012 Bob, a most beautiful capture. For me, the first uncropped version is the better one, because hills and sky have a counterpart in the foreground to keep it in balance. The claritiy and colors are outstanding.

Bob Jackson Posted March 28, 2012 Share #11 Posted March 28, 2012 Very beautiful photo. Love the sheep; just little white specks on the hillside. This part of England has magical light.

Bobitybob Posted March 28, 2012 Author Share #14 Posted March 28, 2012 Pete You lucky man, my better half and I would love to live in the Keswick area. As it is we spend most of our holidays there or Ambleside, just love the Lakes such a fine place to take photos (and drink Sneck Lifter in the Bank).
