Keith (M) Posted March 21, 2012 Share #1 Posted March 21, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Taken this afternoon at Lydiard Hall and Country Park as part of my tests of a new Elmarit 28mm ASPH on M9. A bit chocolate-boxy I know, but the Park is virtually on the doorstep and offers a variety of subjects ideal for tests! Am now beginning to become familiar with visualising the field of view of this little marvel. C+C welcomed.

leicamann Posted March 21, 2012 Share #2 Posted March 21, 2012 ok... well we have a name for that type of pruning..we call them type of trees "War Amps"...... the owner was too cheap to hire a qualified aborist to do the pruning...very sad..it show callousness and disrespect towards nature, makes for ugly .. Otherwise.. well captured Thanks for sharing Cheers, JRM
Michael Hiles Posted March 21, 2012 Share #3 Posted March 21, 2012 The house looks skewed to the right. Or maybe I am skewed to the left.
Keith (M) Posted March 21, 2012 Author Share #4 Posted March 21, 2012 The centre portico is what gives that impression, Michael. Never could trust Swindon house builders...
NZDavid Posted March 21, 2012 Share #5 Posted March 21, 2012 My first thought was poor tree. Why not just cut it down; it's been butchered. This makes this picture a very good example of how not to prune a tree -- why not submit it to a gardening magazine for publication? There is very slight perspective distortion, mostly noticeable on the left, but contrast and color are good. You could try "recovery" in Lightroom to get maximum detail in the sandstone. Shooting at different times of the day would be worth experimenting with.

pauledell Posted March 21, 2012 Share #7 Posted March 21, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Keith, A fine picture despite the badly groomed tree. Fine colors, composition and clarity and yes I notice the twisted portion of the mansion. Paul
