Advertisement Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 Hi leicamann, Take a look here Granville Insel Markt in der Nacht. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
a.j.z Posted March 3, 2012 Share #2 Posted March 3, 2012 very nice nightshot, I like the colors and the lights mirrored in the water
richam Posted March 3, 2012 Share #3 Posted March 3, 2012 John, An eye-catching mix of complementary shapes, well composed. With the 30 second exposure, I gather the lens was reasonably well stopped down, which accounts for the DOF. Hard to tell from a web image, but I might have lightened the rocks a bit to show more texture. (although I realize you may have a good reason to keep it as is). Thanks Richard, actualyy the original is way brighter and you do see "everything", I felt it was a) too busy and wanted to pull from a true dark foreground to the busy background...this is actually something we do in painting, in painting it would be done via a glaze and again the choice would be "how much" information is kept. Thanks for looking and commenting Cheers, JRM
leicamann Posted March 3, 2012 Author Share #7 Posted March 3, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Paul Stewart and Andreas thank you very much for taking a few moments to post your impressions. Yes this IS Granville Market, but of course everything is closed except Bridges and a few "night spots", . Cheers, JRM
