Keith - Lovely and the colors are beautiful. How are you liking the Summarit? I almost bought one and then held back due to conflicting reviews.

Thanks. :)

Conflicting reviews? Well, there were some people who marked the Summarit range down for not being 'proper' Leica, which is taking badge-snobbery to extremes. Anyone who has used one will tell you that the performance is superb. To quote Erwin Puts:-

"The lens might be described as the ideal traveller's companion. It is compact, very lightweight and offers a performance only a shade below the APO-Summicron f2.

...beautifuly designed with clean lines and very functional look and feel. The mount has a solid feeling, is stable without the slightest slack, the click stops have a secure positioning with just the right amount of resistance." He carries on in the same positive manner regarding resolution, colour transmission and resistance to flare.

I have had the Summarit 75mm for a year now and it never fails to impress me with it's stunning performance whether on my M9 or M7. Unless f2 (or f1.4) is absolutely necessary, I can see no reason not to choose the Summarit and put the monetary difference to good use elsewhere.
