David Monkhouse Posted February 8, 2012 Share #3 Posted February 8, 2012 interesting subject, great composition and how did you get the depth of field on what appears a dull day...
pauledell Posted February 8, 2012 Share #4 Posted February 8, 2012 Pete, A great shot to encourage more to travel. Excellent framing and depth, fine tones and crisp sharpness. Paul
NZDavid Posted February 9, 2012 Share #5 Posted February 9, 2012 Very interesting composition shows just how capable a compact can be in the right hands. The DOF is excellent, and I like it in B+W. Just a couple of suggestions for tweaks: you could have cut that dangling cord, and you could have asked the cruise ship captain to back up a few meters. elansprint72 Posted February 9, 2012 Author Share #6 Posted February 9, 2012 Thanks chaps. David and David- I just pressed the button! The camera was in it's case, in my pocket, I looked up from my meal and that thing was upon us- closer than it looks because the lens was at 28mm equiv. The C-Lux2 is an excellent little camera, much better than the one which replaced it which, on paper, had a much better spec, though when I got it I was so disappointed with the handling. That cable needs to go, how did I not see that? I am currently messing about with Silver Efex Pro2, here I used one of the presets and then did some adjustments in PSE.
