vanhulsenbeek Posted February 5, 2012 Share #1 Posted February 5, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Finally, first time this winter, it snowed in Amsterdam. I ran out with M9, WATE and tripod and shot this panorama and two more shots. Exposure at 1/8 sec to get the snow movement visible. All within 250 meters of our home.
Advertisement Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 Hi vanhulsenbeek, Take a look here Snow in Amsterdam, Netherlands. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
erl Posted February 5, 2012 Share #2 Posted February 5, 2012 Beautiful images Sander. I immediately want to be there! That is something we will never see in Oz. Clearly, you have had some good practice at technique for shooting such climatic landscapes. I love the basically muted grey tones, lifted by the glimpses of darker blacks that just lift us back to reality.

I love the basically muted grey tones, lifted by the glimpses of darker blacks that just lift us back to reality. Thanks! Just upped, in LR3, the exposure 2.5 stop, and gave some extra recovery and fill-light. Plus a graduated filter (1.2 stop) and a light inverse vignet. pauledell Posted February 5, 2012 Share #6 Posted February 5, 2012 Sander, An excellent series with the composition, tones and the atmospheric mood. These shots are timeless. Paul
Marquinius Posted February 5, 2012 Share #7 Posted February 5, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) Sander, That's a fine series, almost like the photography of about 100 years back. Well done indeed. For what it's worth: #1, with the bending railing following the canals, is my fav. But I would happily take the other two

stuny Posted February 7, 2012 Share #16 Posted February 7, 2012 Sander - A beautiful set, that sadly is not as impactful as it could be because of how close together the immages are, making it difficult for the eye to separate them completely. I suggest putting some space between multiple images in a post, and here's how to do it: http://www.l-camera-forum.com/leica-forum/customer-forum/2341-posting-multiple-images-threads.html
