Foggy Venice

We spent a few days in Venice for the New Year and experienced some fog a few times. M9 with 35 summicron for the first and 50 summilux for the rest.

These pictures look like they could have been taken in the 1920's with the composition, dark tones, the grainy appearance and the mood. These are timeless.

Very fine pictures.

 

A suggestion - vertical pictures at a hight of 960 are too big to be seen completely - which I think is unfortunate. I think it is important to see the whole image at the same time. 960 works for horizontal images, but verticals work best at about 880 maximum - in my opinion.

I maintain that good pictures can be taken in any weather; the more extreme, the better. You have done really well capturing misty silhouettes.
