Both of these have great composition, lovely tones, sharpness and definitely the feeling of a strong breeze. The gull really adds to the second shot. Excellent pictures.

Both are beautiful. However, I prefer #1 for its dramatic sky...

Both pictures were captured on the same day. Weather was not so inviting for a beach walk. However, I often feel the more interesting pictures are offered in adverse weather conditions.

Thank you for your response, mumu. Yes, the conditions really were dynamic. Glad, that the picture can express something of it.

A minute after taking #1 I had to look for a sheltered position. So the clouds announce heavy rain approaching.

#1 is a very good shot, where has it been taken? I love the landscape,

reminds me of the Darsswald coast (Baltic Sea).

Thank you, Lothar. You spotted it. It is the Darßwald coastline "Weststrand". I love that area too and try to be there at least once a year. The forrest is wonderful and the 10 km coast from Ahrenshoop to the lighthouse is magic.
