pauledell Posted January 9, 2012 Share #4 Posted January 9, 2012 Marc, A lovely picture with the low horizon, the setting sun that illuminates some of the sky with its fading light while the overhead clouds are so dramatic, the appearance of a rolling fog bank in the far background and the well placed ship. e1k3 Posted January 9, 2012 Share #6 Posted January 9, 2012 Beautiful. Very well done. The look and feel of the light blue hole in the darker clouds is almost supernatural: Independance Day approaching?

marc_dufour Posted January 9, 2012 Author Share #8 Posted January 9, 2012 Paul, Gianluca, e1k3 and Tri Thanks all for your warm comments. I was on a ferry from Sweden to Germany. About 8 hours sailing. So I had a lot of time to walk on the bridge and take some dozens of pictures... An advice, if you take this ferry, even in september, be careful to wear winter coat
imported_peter_m Posted January 10, 2012 Share #9 Posted January 10, 2012 Cloud charmer indeed You seem to get to those places always just at the right time. Nice! Peter
marc_dufour Posted January 10, 2012 Author Share #10 Posted January 10, 2012 Peter, After almost eight hours crossing from Sweden, in the last hour I saw these clouds formation evolving progressively to something spectacular. Until this moment, just some clouds, a far and slight rain in the horizon, but nothing really interesting. Yes, I was in the place in the right time, I was a lot of time in the right place... Jokes apart, I've been lucky with the Scandinavian skies, indeed ! Thanks for your kind comment
