pauledell Posted January 7, 2012 Share #3 Posted January 7, 2012 A marvelous minimalistic picture with the wonderful patterns and texture of the sand as well as the light that creates that special brightness on the beach. A lovely scene. Paul

MarkP Posted January 8, 2012 Share #9 Posted January 8, 2012 (edited) I really like this, especially the subtle transition of tones and the smooth texture of everything except the sand from where the water has receded. Where was it taken? Mark ps: isn't the 28 Summicron a glorious lens? Edited January 8, 2012 by MarkP
e1k3 Posted January 8, 2012 Author Share #10 Posted January 8, 2012 I really like this, especially the subtle transition of tones and the smooth texture of everything except the sand from where the water has receded.Where was it taken? Mark ps: isn't the 28 Summicron a glorious lens? Thank you, Mark and everyone for your kind comments. The picture was taken on one of the small isles in Ostfriesland, which is the name of this region at the German North Sea coast. Yes, the 28 Summicron is an absolutely glorious lens. My favorite. And the small 28 Elmarit asph, which I actually used for this picture, is very very good as well. How comes, that I use both? The Summicron was a last years acquisition, I had the Elmarit before. So I currently use them in parallel. The Summicron will stay for sure. I think I may part from the Elmarit, might exchange it for a 50 Summicron.
