Default Profile of a traveller.

..... 0130060bw2J.jpg
......R24Elmarit Nong Khiaw Bridge.

Thirty something months away from home this time, life in a thirty litre pack, getting tired and ready to get off the doxycyline. Film has a history too. Numerous hold xrays and total submersion, sodden and sticky, in a tributary of the Nam Ou.

Rob,

A very nice portrait. A well caught expression.

Rob -

Youi keep us waiting too long between photo posts. Lovely composition, tonal range, selective focus and mood.

Rob,

I like the wistful expression. How did you get such shallow dof with a 24mm lens?

David the hand should give it away.

I found the 24 focus very critical because I was always reasonably close. Until you are back three or four feet, you dont get massive depths of field, it is a tough focus. Following quick scans uncorrected.

The guy in the middle looks pretty normal till you notice his hands. My passport isnt as big as a magazine. And look at the head of the man on left, even though standing shoulder to shoulder. Maybe the lens is twenty inches from the hands.

The bridge isnt short either. We were at the extreme east end. So it is a fair distance to the hills.

Part from that, I use ctrlC ctrlV quite a bit. Like Im said, the background is a bit darker than the subject . Maybe I get heavy handed at times. I was thinking about green duotone?
