Very nice John. And for once pylons add interest marching across the countryside.

John I love the small pylons in the foreground complimented by the large pylons in the background. Well seen!

John -

Another from you with astonishingly lush full tones, beautiful light, details, depth and composition.

Incredible depth and tonality to this image; the print is undoubtably even better. I too would like to know what lens.

Henry

Thanks to everyone for your kind comments.

This is a C-Lux shot, with the zoom at 28mm equivalent - I find I take a lot at that focal length

Marching pylons (just minding their own business) and a wonderfully caught sky! Another excellent image.

John

I've said it before (and I'll say it again) you really know how to get the best out of that little camera. Terrific shot.

Jerome,

I tend to shoot the C-Lux in b&w mode which is generally quite strong. I don't therefore have to convert in post-processing. I did, however, work on the levels to bring out detail in the sky and to strengthen the foreground somewhat.

You've really made the most of the 16:9 format, and the tones are just fabulous.
Very nice.
Cheers, David.

P.S. One question, not a criticism, and I don't think it detracts from the image... What caused the dark upper right corner?

David,

it was caused by Photoshop

I deliberately darkened that corner in an attempt to hold the eye in the picture.

Thanks for the comment.
