Very strange, when I looked earlier the second shot wasn't working, I have just come back to look and both pics are visible even though I wasn't logged on !

Nice pictures now I can see them. GY

Oh - there it is!

Very good. This second one would look great cropped as a panorama too.

Chris,
I'd go back to the cottage when you have a blue sky with fluffy white clouds, then convert to B&W and play about in PS, that location has potential but you need the correct lighting conditions.
Agree with the comments on cropping the second one.
How many places called Tarbert are there is Scotland?

Tarbert - Argyll, that's where the harbour shot was taken, there is one on the Isle of Gigha, bur there are more places called Tarbet, very confusing I know, I will try and be a bit more precise with locations names, but not to the extent of O/S map grid references.

I agree with your comments Pete about cloud and light, the derelict cottage isn't far from where I live, and the object of the day was to get some shots of Jura in profile, spotted your comment on another thread, having only just really caught the photography bug recently I can see far more in the landscape than I ever did, constanly looking at potential photo's and making mental notes of their location, ever waiting for that perfect day, should it come, then I will be like a man pocessed racing from location to location.

Thanks for your comments and encouragement

Chris
