Default Sunset / lighthouse for Stuart

and Barbara

I went back specially

Very cheesy, and not enough cloud cover for the sun to get under, but this place has potential...

Andy - Cheesy? Nah, that's wonderfully psychedelic (and anyway, Nature always was the cheesiest author of all). Amazing shot.
cheers:
Sam

Andy –

Our favorite restaurant in NYC has the country’s top cheese expert on staff (one of the few places we can get cheeses that are perfectly safe, but which out Food & Drug Administration is fearful of – cheeses made from raw milk! Heavens! They frequently have chesses brought to them from the diplomatic pouches of some of the nearby consulates), so we like cheese. I don’t really see cheese here, like the shot very much (framing, light, color, exposure, details, depth) and will show it to Barbara when she awakens (today is a national holiday). Thanks for posting this. I almost missed it since landscape & travel has become the heaviest posting place on the forum.

Not cheesy at all. A wonderful calming image; the colours are superb.

Barbara loves the photo, and was very touched that you posted it for her. Thanks.

If great colors, tonal control and composition are cheesy, induct me to the club!

Andy,
Great shot. Wonderful colors and composition. You may be able to find more visually interesting clouds or water at some other moment, but this shot is calm and relaxing. If that is cheesy, then count me as a cheese lover also.

Andy,

Beautiful and relaxing image to see. You captured the main four elements, fire, air, water, and earth (and the contrasts in color too). Great job!

Thanks,
Ed

Hi Andy,
This one is one of your best. Words don't do justice to what it conveys.
Thanks for sharing.
Ed.
