Thats a very nice picture, and a good time of the year to visit Blackpool too, in the summer you can probably not see the sand!

Thanks guys, I'm still loving this M8. It's nice to be carrying M lenses around rather than R :-)

Pete, I think cropping out the pier would make it stronger - or different at least! I may have been focusing (no pun intended) too much on the pier when I was cropping this in Photoshop. I realised that the kids in the foreground were the most important element, but I thought the pier added something. Now I'm not so sure.

So they let you out of the city once in a while, and I'm glad they did. Terrific contrast, tones, refelctions, composition, depth and angle.
