Ivan said what immediately stuck me about this lovely photo. By chance did you also take a horizontal view? If so, and if you like it, could we see that one, too?

Thanks for the comments guys.

Stuart, yes, I did take a landscape shot earlier in the day, as we were walking up the reservoir rather than down it. I do find that I'm happier shooting landscapes in portrait these days, if you follow my meaning. The shot's not worth putting up on the forum - after all, one has one's artistic reputation to consider
