Rolo -

Startling, dramatic, foreboding, all of which I frequently notice in your photos, and all of which I value in your photos.

Rolo,

an exquisite use of light and shade, and colour and form make this image shine.

[Dissenting voice]

I think you may have turned this one up to 12, instead of your usual 11. This one is too much for my taste

[/Dissenting voice]

I much prefer the B&W version.

Rolo,

Very nice. The contrast between the colours and the depth are stunning.

Andy,

Suspect you would be surprised how little the colours have been adjusted from the Velvia original. There was no need to raise the values.

Compare the colours with the previous Lone Tree image and you'll find the common colouring is what I started with.

It's not real world colour because Velvia does change the real world, but the colour on the day was quite fantastic.

Nothing wrong with preferring a B&W version. Thanks for your comments.

"And all the clouds that loured upon our house ......"

Rolo, a very fine photograph indeed, in all respects. The light is magical.
