Default Derwentwater calm #2

Hardly a ripple, the boat has just left the shot top left and there are just a few residual wavelets.

Cheers,
Pete.

Edit: no way to correct mis-spellings in the title? Oops! (Oh yes there is )

Hi Pete, the foreground looks excellent, but the distance looks a bit hazy. Perhaps it would have been inproved if you had used a UV filter.

Pete,

A lovely landscape. I feel that the distance softness adds to the realistic illusion of depth.

Lovely.

Have you tried cropping off the very dark rocks at the bottom of the frame? Just a thought.

Is the horizon level?

Thanks, David, Andy.
I did try to cut out the rocks but then you get part trees growing up, so I left it. I "think" that the horizon is horizontal(!), although at first glance it looks tilted; like Rolo's Whitby jetty shot if you turn it, all the other components are leaning. From this spot, near the end of the lake, the far shore is much closer on the right than it is on the left. But I'll have a go.

Wouldn't be the first cock-eyed post from me would it?

Cheers,
Pete.

Yup, it was tilted, rotated it 1.5 degrees and it looks better, also removed as much of the rocks as possible without losing the tree bases.

Thanks for suggestions!

Is the only way to crrect bad spellungs in teh tittel via Mod, or is there really a way that I don't know about?
Pete
