when you say "simple", do you mean 'simple', or 'simple, simple'. ?? Wasn't simple, simple, at all ! Below is how to do it 'not simple' in 10 minutes. Andy, it was on the Isle of Skye. Thanks. Rolo |

Rolo,
I was thinking "simple" in terms of not being complex! Meaning the subject matter- nothing fancy but, yet again, you produce a fantastic result.I know that a great deal of effort goes into the finishing of your images and, frankly, I would not know where to start in doing all that digitally. I think that many others would join me in saying that your images have raised the standard to a new and aspirational level. Keep 'em a comin' please. Cheers, Pete. |

Excellent Rolo you got the shading perfect.
The building just seams to grow out of the surroundings very harmonious image. And thank you for the demonstration how you achieved the image. when you do your adjustments do you do them to the negative scan? Peter |

As you can testify, I'm a Leica owner and user, but much of what I have left comes from a selection of camera makes. Perhaps, a Moderator could waive any guilt for my breach of the Rules and the dialogue can continue. William, the full frame image is my preferred altenative as a stand alone. However, as part of a series it needs to look like the others and they are square. The different crops make different statements and I'm comfortable with both. Photoshop's crop tool is great because it can be slid around and there's always Control Z. Think I might have said above, this is one bitch to print optically as there is so much work. Playing down that scrap wood, removing five telephone lines .... Argh!! Rolo |

The composition is amazing. Have you already had the square format in mind when you shot it?
For me all the work for the remastering seems to be worth all the 'sweat and tears'. The atmosphere is dense and the picture is interesting. Thanky for sharing Marcus |
