Square is my preferred format as one has tighter control on the viewer, IMO.

In this shot there was a pile of wood to the left of the house and I anticipated cropping that away. You can see the wood in the neg.

Thanks for bringing this back. I enjoyed seeing it again myself and had forgotten about the darkroom instructions. This was an extremely difficult neg for wet prining, but PS made it easy, I'm pleased to say.
