Noel,
Can you explain the timed shutter release for the V-Lux?

Cheers,
Pete.

Hi Pete,

I ment the self timer 2s or 10s setting .. to avoid any camera movement during slow shutter speeds .. think i had this at 10sec exposure .. iso1600 ..
with some PP sharpening and contrast/brightness adjustments .

Regards
Noel

Right, I was wondering if there is a way of doing long, timed exposures; like you can on a "real" camera.
Presumably this would mean some sort of remote add-on gizmo because the shutter speeds. .................. Just read the manual and it seems you can't keep the shutter open using the remote release, but......

.. there is a thing called "Starry sky mode" (for goodness sake Leica, get a grip) which allows exposures up to 60 seconds.

So, it's back to the box Brownie and Speed Graphic then.

Cheers,

Pete.

Nice one Pete

Yeh 60secs is the max exposure time i can find on the V-Lux .. i tryed that starry sky setting with the 8sec exposure ..its a total waste of time ..everything overexposed .. back to the old manual 35mm i think and a good old fashioned TTL bright and clear viewfinder .. at least you can focus with confidance compared to the EVF ..
