Late afternoon walk in London, June 17th
OK, one week later thanks to the tube strike. Same time, 5PM, same place Monument Station on the District Line, same idea: late afternoon perambulation followed by something to drink/eat at a decent hostelry.
BTW, I originally said let's wander over the bridge but it now occurs to me that the area around Lime Street and towards Tower Bridge on the north side of the river is surprisingly picturesque. The idea is to wander around (like we do) for an hour and then get something to eat/drink. Alan and I will be waiting outside the exit for Monument (so if you can't see it you're at the wrong place). All welcome. LouisB
