Default Angle Tarn - 15th July 2006

OK - can I make a start?

I am planning a walk in the Lake District with some friends (not sure how many can make it yet - probably just me and the dog ) on Saturday 15th July. I am hoping that the R8 will be back from its jollies by then, but we will see. If not, I will have to make do with the M2. So, no hardship really.

The plan is to meet at Brotherswater and walk up to Angle Tarn, coming down with views over Ullswater. This is alleged to be the best view in the Lake District, but not having walked up there myself as yet, I cannot confirm.

I am not sure if Pete Taylor or Andy Whysall or any other "Northerners" have turned up here yet, but this is an open invitation for anyone here to join me / us.

Email me (or, hey, "PM" me!) if you're interested in exercising your calves and thighs, as well as your right index fingers. And, should you need any further incentive, my birthday is close to that weekend, so I might even put my hand in my pocket for a pint...

One to share?

I have already posted elsewhere that your Cumbria shots have reignited my passion for the area but I know I won't be able to visit on this occasion. In case I forget in the future I would like to say I hope you have great time.

Unglücklich Re: Angle Tarn - 15th July 2006

Well, after a great deal of sodding about it seems that I have managed to get back into the forum, not sure that I like my user name though. Perhaps when thing settle down I will be able to change that?

I'll try to get to the Lakes on that date but can't confirm at the moment.

Cheers,

Andy,
Good idea. I'll see if I can make it although it is a long way to go for a weekend from Swindon. But I also need to get out into the hills.
Brothers Water -> Hayeswater->Angle Tarn (there is atleast 1 other Angle Tarn) then back down to Ulswater is that the plan.

I hope you have a clear dry day.
