Default Morecambe date?

Did Lord Barton's XI nominate a date for their away fixture at that charming Lancashire market town and watering place?
My colander is getting pretty full, as the............ etc.

I'll be in France the last week in August and the first week of September if that makes any difference, so won't be able to attend during those dates.

Any other week is fine for me.

Any suggestions? The place is now open if that makes a difference...

Midland Hotel - Midland Hotel

Around £150 a night if you're interested.

I'm also away from the 9th - 15th.

Just noticed that it is the Tall Ships in Liverpool on the 18th too.

I could make July, but not w/e of the 19th or 20th, as it's my Birthday.

However, it's also the Tall Ships in Liverpool that weekend, so we could have a double bubble weekend.

That'd be fine with me.

I'm not paying £155 per night for a hotel in Morecambe, though, no matter how magenta the pillow cases are. They will struggle at those kind of rates, I reckon. (Bloody awful website they have there too...)

Magenta pillow cases? As an M8 user I couldn't possible stay there - I'd have nightmares.

I agree about the price being a bit 'ambitious', but it does appear to be fully booked through the summer.

I wish them well, hopefully it will bring more money into the town - or be closed in 18 months.

Bleeding Aristos, not content with a single day to celebrate their birth; they have a whole week-end.

Maybe it's two birthdays like the Queen?

Then again perhaps on his birthday he wanders around the estate exercising his "Droit de seigneur" and that's what takes the time? Although in his neck of the woods I'd expect this only to take a few miniutes - can't be easy finding virgins so close to Liverpool.

So Sunday the 27th it is?

Any room for a shandy-drinking, vest-wearing, soft southern sh1te? (Promise not to ramble on about jellied eels, pie'n'mash, my ol' man's an entrepreneur etc.)

Pete.

No problem at all Pete, though I think the thing not to ramble on about is cockles rather than jellied eels.

Of course that assume you get through passport control at Watford.

See you there.

Uh-oh, is there an entrance exam?! I'd better get on to my ABCs (Athers, Boycs and Charleton) sharpish then!

If I was to wear a rose in my buttonhole what colour should it be?

Pete.
