Gyp?

Sadly, gents it looks as if I'll be unable to attend mainly because planned railway engineering works prevent me from getting up and back to Ol' Smokey by Monday. Hope you have a pleasant click, nosh and natter and I'll try to bring you gossip from darn sarf at a future meeting.

Pete.

So its 11.00am at the Midland hotel on the 27th? See you all there. By the way, don't get too excited about the Midland - visited a couple of weeks ago with a friend and very disappointed - a missed opportunity!

See you there Keith. Perhaps I should bring a flask and some sandwiches.

And a reminder that anyone who is interested is welcome to attend.

I might have to be a bit late - I have some negotiation to do with one of my offspring.

Still intend to be there, though.

Morecambe isn't a big place, I'm sure you'll be able to find us. Or you could call us on your new toy - assuming that the iPhone will lower itself to connecting to lesser phones.

The phone will talk to anyone - it's not proud.

It does depend on there being a signal up there, Keith - which in my experience, isn't a shoe-in...

If the forecast is any good I might wazz up in the little yellow plastic car and come back via the Trough of Bowland, now that is a good place for photos, if the crowds are not too intrusive.

It’s when they start singing in Latin you need worry.
They say they use aftershave, I smell incense.

if you start singing in Latin, I'll start reciting Beowulf

I have recently discovered my Anglo Saxon roots, which includes wearing flax as a normal means of attire

Wearing flax???
It would be worth becoming an Anglo Saxon just for that.
Does one convert? is it straighforward?

My advice would be to wander up and down the prom until you come across a rag bag of reprobates being arrested by a community police officer.
