Default London Xmas drinkies?

I'm starting this to see if anyone might be interested in a London meeting for an Xmas drink.
This all started on my St Pancras #1 thread in the Architecture photo forum. James rolo and Pete seems to be interested if we make it 8 December - any others able to come along? Apart from meeting at St Pancras we might want a decent pub not too far away.
If anyone fancies lunch there are many Indian restaurants not too far away.

I'd be very happy to meet up. Providing there will be lots of champagne.

Sorry, Brian. Have a stag do to go to on 8th...

16th is Rolo's party (that apparently he's paying for) and a wedding in Manchester. (Join the dots between Stag Do on 8th and Rolo, subject to negotiations )

23rd is a bit close to the festivities...

New Year?

I might be able to make the 8th. I quite like the idea of a weekend in London, given that I'm currently working in Perivale from Monday to Friday.

The sooner the date is confirmed the better.

Brian, I could do the 8th, the Kings Cross/St Pancras area is close to my stamping ground (Camden). There is always Drummond Street nearby with its host of Indian Restaurants.

Mind you, there is also the place we met in earlier this year in Holborn or the Penderels Oak across the road (which is a bit roomier but without the character).

Let me know if any others are up for it.

Ok guys - why don't we make it the 8th December. Shall we say 12 noon at the Champagne Bar at St Pancras. We can go on from there to .... wherever.

Let's have a few names - so far we seem to have me, John, Louis and James - more please!

Brian - please count me in.

Just learnt about this from John, whom I met on the bus a few minutes ago - London is a small place.

Ok, I'm definitely in - I've just booked a hotel for the weekend.

See you all on the 8th!

Count me in for the 8th
Looks like there will be a number of us so is it worthwhile booking a restaurant.
The Drummond Street establishments generally have seating arrangements which would not be sympathetic to a group of 10 to 15 people.

REMINDER!

OK guys - next Saturday the 8th, 12 noon @ St P's Champagne Bar (Champagne not compulsory - unless you're buying )! We'll take it from there. I'll see if I can reserve a couple of seat areas. So far there seems to be 7 of us, apart from me - John, Steve, Louis, James, Michael, Teddy, Gabriel.

Any one else is of course welcome - let me know here, or just arrive!

Have booked the train and the hotel, so every intention of being there. Just need to get across from Euston in good time.

It's a 10 minute walk, if that, from Euston.

But, from Claridges, it takes a bit longer.

Say hi to Gordon if you bump into him.

Of course unlike Lord Barton of Barton not all of us can afford a suite at Claridges. In fact most of us couldn't afford a sweet at Claridges!

Someone else bought me supper there once, and I have managed to stay at The Grosvenor on Park Lane for £59.

Worst night's sleeep I have ever had.
